Grant MacKenzie, Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Grant is the business leader and visionary, responsible for the growth and effective management of Macquarie Financial in Canada.

With over 25 years of banking experience, Grant has a proven track-record in building innovative financial services firms that meet consumer needs in the rapidly changing North American financial services industry. Prior to leading Macquarie in Canada, he played an instrumental role in the successful launch of one of Canada's leading electronic banks, and for building the operating team critical to its success.

David Morrissey, Chief Operating Officer

As COO, David manages the day-to-day operating activities of Macquarie Financial including business advancement, credit policies & procedures, compliance and systems. He joined Macquarie in Australia in 1994 and subsequently held various senior management roles with Macquarie Australia’s retail mortgages business and in strategic relationship management. David relocated to Toronto in 2006 as part of Macquarie’s entry into the Canadian mortgage industry.

David has over 20 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining Macquarie, he held management positions in a number of major Australian financial institutions.

Brian Wilson, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Brian is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and financial risk management for Macquarie Financial.

Brian has over 20 years of financial services and consulting experience. He has held numerous senior management positions with various financial institutions including trust companies, investment banks and one of Canada’s leading professional advisory firms. His experience spans consumer and commercial lending, asset management, accounting and tax.

Sarim Farooqi, Treasurer

As Treasurer, Sarim is responsible for managing Macquarie Financial’s funding and risk management needs. This includes day-to-day liquidity and cash management, developing and managing third party funding options, securitisation programs and market risk exposure measurement and hedging.

Sarim has over 10 years of Capital Market, Treasury/Asset & Liability Management and Risk Management experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Macquarie, Sarim held roles of increasing seniority in the Market Risk and Treasury groups of two major Canadian banks where he developed and implemented market risk modeling frameworks. He was also a senior member of the Global Markets/Treasury group of an international bank addressing treasury policies and procedures, diversified funding options and market risk. Sarim is a CFA charter holder and holds the Financial Risk Manager designation.
